Children's Region Zug

Welcome to the canton of Zug, a proud part of the Kinderregion!

Making plans made easy in the children's region

Together with six other regions, Zug forms the adventure platform kinderregion.ch. Here you will find ideas for excursions and events with children, experience reports from families and information about the region.

Rigiplatz playground - Zug

This is not only a meeting place for children, but also a popular meeting place for young and old. The large playground is divided into two areas for children of different ages. While the little ones explore the large sandpit with water games in the shade of the pergola or have a go on the baby swing, the older ones can show off their climbing skills and whizz down the slide.

Adventure playground Schattwäldli - Zugerberg

The excursion begins with a ride on the panoramic funicular up to the Zugerberg. After a 15-minute walk, you reach the Schattwäldli playground, nestled in the idyllic landscape between forest and moorland. The children can let off steam on the swings, the cable car, in the wooden castle and in the forest, while the sausage sizzles on the barbecue.

Villette-Park Cham playground

This is located a few minutes' walk from Cham railroad station near the minigolf course and the Villa Villette restaurant. The playground is divided into two areas. In the rear, shadier area, it's "Cast off, sailors!". A large pirate ship with climbing and sliding facilities is waiting to be discovered.

Zugiblubbi adventure trail

The Zugiblubbi adventure trail starts directly at the mountain station and consists of 8 game stations and 9 diamond stations. At each diamond post there is a letter which can be entered on the treasure hunt card. The completed treasure hunt cards can be posted in the letterbox at the Zugerberg Bahn mountain station and automatically take part in the next Zugiblubbi prize draw.

Swiss Museum of Transport

More than 3000 objects on more than 20,000 m² of exhibition space bear witness to a history that has been eventful in the truest sense of the word or point to future challenges in terms of transport and mobility.

Minigolf course on the Schanz

An ideal excursion destination. The mini-golf course offers an ideal leisure activity for all ages. Would you like to spend some relaxing hours in the fresh air? Then you've come to the right place. Whether it's a sporting competition or a leisurely round, our course offers secluded shady spots even on hotter days.
The 18-hole course is lovingly cared for and maintained, which is also greatly appreciated by our guests.

Minigolf Cham

The minigolf course is located right next to the 46,000 m2 Villette Park, where strolling visitors feel like they are on vacation.

The course has a minigolf pub, a cozy garden restaurant surrounded by many trees where you can enjoy fine classics such as Coupe Denmark or chicken nuggets with chips.

Minigolf Birkenwäldli Unterägeri

Right by the lake, with a spacious park and children's playground, the well-kept minigolf course invites you to enjoy a relaxing game with friends.

Afterwards, the cozy terrace invites you to linger in the sun. Hot and cold snacks, ice creams, various drinks and confectionery are on offer.
